BROWN RECEIVES 20 YEAR SENTENCE FOR MANSLAUGHTER

Bryan Brown, 32, pled guilty Thursday morning in Washington County Circuit Court to the 2016 shooting death of 26 year-old Kendall Lee, District Attorney W. Dewayne Richardson announced today.  With the case set for trial before Judge Richard Smith this week, Brown instead chose to plead guilty for his involvement in Kendall Lee’s death on Nelson Street in Greenville.

Kendall Lee was gunned down while he sat in his vehicle outside the Flowing Fountain night-club in August of 2016. The gunman wore a covering over his face during the shooting, but eye-witnesses to the crime were able to identify the shooter as the Defendant, Bryan Brown.

The cases against Brown was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys M. Austin Frye and John L. Herzog, Jr. Attorney Frye stated that “[w]ith every violent offender that’s removed from our streets, Washington County increasingly progresses towards the ultimate goal: to become as safe of a community as possible. The Greenville Police Department worked diligently and quickly in their investigation of Kendall Lee’s death. Thanks to the officers and investigators involved in the case, the District Attorney’s Office was able to bring justice and closure to Kendall Lee’s family, and Greenville as a whole.”
