JURY FINDS LORENZO SHEAD, JR. GUILTY OF FONDLING
Greenville, MS—Lorenzo Shead, Jr. was found guilty of Fondling in Washington County Circuit Court, District Attorney Dewayne Richardson announced today.
After twenty-five minutes of deliberations, a Washington Count jury announced the verdict in open court at 5:55 on yesterday. Following two days of testimony, Shead was convicted of Fondling. The teary-eyed victim detailed to the jury how she was awakened out of her sleep by a naked Shead attempting to put his private part in her buttocks. Future medical exams of the victim and Shead proved that he had given her Chlamydia during the crime.
Assistant District Attorneys Kaylon A. McCou and Takiyah Perkins, during closing arguments, recapped the evidence presented to the jury, showing that there could be no other reason for Shead’s actions but his perverted lust and a criminally immoral sexual desire. Sentencing in this case is scheduled for later in this term of court.
ADAs McCou and Perkins are pleased to finally provide some closure for the victim, and thankful for the Investigators of the Greenville Police Department Sexual Assault Unit, Child Protective Services, and the many agencies involved in helping deliver justice on this day.
