McClungs receive 25 year sentence for House Burglary
Greenwood, MS – Leflore County defendants Darrell and Frederick McClung pled guilty to committing multiple House Burglaries in Leflore County Circuit Court, District Attorney Dewayne Richardson announced today.
Richardson said, “The McClung brothers were scheduled to stand trial for their crimes on Tuesday of this week but instead they pled guilty before Judge Ashley Hines.” Both defendants had been indicted in two separate cases for House Burglary for crimes that were committed in November 2014.
Both Frederick and Darrell McClung were also recently convicted in Carroll County for committing other similar crimes. Judge Hines sentenced both defendants to the District Attorney’s recommendation of 25 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. They are scheduled to serve the duration of their sentences.
This case was investigated by the Leflore County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney’s office appreciates their hard work and dedication to the safety of Leflore County.
