Jesston Pam sentenced for Havanna Street Robbery
Greenville, MS – In Greenville, Jesston Pam, 17 yoa, pled guilty to committing two separate home invasions including one that resulted in him robbing an elderly victim, District Attorney Dewayne Richardson announced today.
In September of last year, Pam was arrested by the Greenville Police Department and charged with breaking into and robbing a homeowner on Havana Street here in Greenville, MS. During the course of the investigation, Jesston Pam was also charged with breaking into another home on Arnold Ave earlier in August 2014. In the Havana Street robbery, Pam broke into the residence of an elderly victim and demanded money while using a handgun.
Pam was indicted earlier this year and charged with Armed Robbery and Two Counts of Burglary of a Dwelling. Jesston Pam pled guilty earlier this week to all of the charges that he was facing. Judge White-Richard sentenced him to the State’s recommendation and ordered that Pam serve 17 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for the Armed Robbery and Burglary convictions. The first 12 of those years will be served in prison without any early release. After his release Jesston Pam will be on probation for 5 years.
Richardson added that, “the District Attorney’s office feels that justice has been served by the conviction and penalty imposed on this defendant. All defendants sentenced to the Penitentiary for Armed Robbery are required by law to serve 100% of their sentence without any early release or parole.”
